He is a professor in the field of human biology (anthropology). His research interests include the areas of osteology and odontology. He cooperates with many research Centres in Poland and abroad (including Croatia, Austria, France, Germany, and Great Britain). He is the author and co-author of over 90 peer-reviewed research and review papers. He is the Chairman of the Polish Anthropological Association and a member of both the European Anthropological Association and the International Society of Palaeoodontology, as well as a member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences.
In this project, he is responsible for the content-related coordination from the anatomical and anthropological sides.
He is the author of over 30 publications and conference presentations. His scientific and research activity covers the scope of issues related to the methods of medical image processing (CT, CBCT, MRI, ultrasound, cephalometry, and pantomography); microtomography; segmentation algorithms; computer-assisted medicine, dentistry and orthodontics; modelling for 3D printing; and virtual reality. His research work also concern issues related to the anthropological historical analysis of bone and dental materials. He is a founding member of the Society for Scientific Visualization (VisNow.org).

He has many years of experience in the field of 3D printing, working on a number of different devices in the field of additive techniques and digitization techniques. He is a practitioner also experienced in the area of designing and implementing prototype products supported by rapid prototyping.

He is a graphic 3D artist with many years of experience in the 3D digitization industry, with knowledge of specialized equipment and software for collecting and processing geometric data and the texture of objects. His portfolio includes projects for the digitization of historic buildings, works of art, human remains and natural objects.
