It is a long bone that lies lateral to the thumb. Attached to the radial tuberosity is the biceps muscle of the shoulder (m. biceps brachii). On the lateral side of the shaft, the following muscles are attached: the pronator muscle (m. pronator teres) and the superficial flexor muscle of the fingers (m. flexor digitorum superficialis). On the front surface, in the middle of the shaft, the long flexor muscle of the thumb (m. flexor pollicis longus) is attached, and on the back surface of the shaft, there are the thumb abductor muscle (m. abductor pollicis longus) and the short extensor muscle of the thumb (m. extensor pollicis brevis). On the styloid process of the bone, there is the terminal attachment of the brachial-radial muscle (m. brachioradialis).
